Thanks for the marvelous LGBTQ history.

The irony of wanting a Whole Foods to move in to a neighborhood with empty storefronts — when Amazon is a big part of what is killing retail across the city and country — is not lost here.

I believe that the city should definitely impose a fee on those building owners who leave their buildings vacant — and I believe that fee could be minimized or limited once a planned business is committed to moving in. The property taxes on commercial real estate are a joke.
