Thanks for the wonderful article, Patsy. And for the shoutout. I don't think the treatment of nudity in the film is gratuitous. In fact the nudity during the hearing (spoiler alert) is hilarious and oh, so human. I wish however there was as much focus on the opinions and ideas and lives of the women scientists as there is on women's nudity. Although there were plenty of women cheerleaders for the development of nuclear weapons, it's noteworthy that many women had -- even in the moment -- a critique and conscience more complex (and beautiful when naked too!) than Oppie. Great essay.
